Superintelligence

Brain-computer integration systems with high neural congruence and an egocentric distribution of agency can be described as having a superintelligence-like user experience.

These systems typically sense and then reflexively influence neural activity engramatically, unconsciously modulating the users neurophysiology.

These systems have the potential to create powerful feedback loops of neural activity which can exponentially amplify a given cognitive state. This explosion of cognitive resources is thematically similar to Nick Bostrom’s concept of “superintelligence“, thus the name.

The Machine_in_the_middle system is one example of a Superintelligence type BCI.
