Swarm

Brain-computer integration systems with low neural congruence and an allocentric distribution of agency can be described as having a swarm-like user experience.

Swarm system offers a shared experience in which each individual contributes to a pool of symbolic representations of brain data, creating an emergent gestalt body of information representative of the group.

These systems provide representations of brain data that can be both interpreted to inform one about an individual, or interpreted to understand the group dynamic as a whole. Taken together, the properties of these systems are reminiscent of swarm behavior in nature, thus the name.

Neo-Noumena is one example of a swarm system.
